Jai Arrow gets the chance to reach 100 appearances for South Sydney Rabbitohs despite retiring with MND, Zurich delivers a night of multiple world records, Hull City announce themselves back in the Premier League with a win over Manchester United, and Keith Andrews makes an impressive start to life as Brentford manager.

Former rugby league player with MND
When Jai Arrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, and retired earlier this year, he didn’t expect to be able to take to the field again. However, the 31-year-old will have the chance to play the opening seconds of two forthcoming matches, so he can reach the milestone of 100 appearances for South Sydney Rabbitohs. Credit to the NRL for making this exception to the rules.

Brentford manager
Andrews continues to make waves since taking over from Thomas Frank at the London club, and he rubbished any suggestions of second-season-syndrome by leading his side's demolition of Tottenham on the opening day of the season, and casually followed that up with a 6-1 win over Birmingham in the cup. He narrowly missed out on Europe last year having been tipped as relegation favourites and it looks like he's will have them as one to watch again this season.
Hull City
Newly promoted Premier League side
The Premier League is back and so are Hull City. The Tigers have already shown they are here to fight for their place in the top flight this season, with a huge 2-0 win over English giants Manchester United on the opening weekend. Many had already written off the newly promoted side as definite relegation contenders, but they have shown exactly why anything can happen in the Premier League.
Thursday night in Zurich
World records broken
In what has been described as a ‘crazy night in Zurich’, the Diamond League meeting saw two world records broken, with Alison Dos Santos and Masai Russell both making history. Dos Santos broke the 400m hurdles world record, before Olympic champion Russell clocked 12.09sec to become the 100m world record holder. All before pole vault drama with two athletes going beyond the 6.20m mark for the first time ever in vaulting history, as Mondo Duplantis cleared 6.25m for victory, but not quite making the 6.32m world record.
